Easy Garlic Bread

I love the bakery at the local grocery store. Grab the clearence bread, prepare and freeze for ready made garlic bread in minutes.

1 loaf italian bread

  • 1 stick softened butter (or you can use a spread like Shedd’s Spread)
  • garlic salt (if watching sodium use garlic powder)

Slice Italian loaf into 1 inch thick slices. Spread butter on both sides of each and place on cookie sheet. Sprinkle lightly with garlic salt/powder. Place in freezer for 30 minutes. (This keeps them from sticking together when stored in freezer.) Remove frozen slices and place in ziplock bag. Place in freezer and remove as needed.

To cook frozen garlic bread:
Heat over to 375 degrees
Place frozen slices on cookie sheet
Bake for 5 minutes, turn over and back an additional 5 minutes or until cripsy on outside.
