Mashed Potatoes/Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Mashed Potatoes

  • 8 large (or 12 medium) potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 tablespoon Homemade Nature’s Seasoning
  • 1/2 to 1 stick butter (slice into small pieces)
  • approximately 1/2 cup whole milk or half and half

Fill large pot with potatoes & water.   Add 1 tablespoon Homemade Nature’s Seasons. Bring to boil and boil until fork tender.  Drain water (do not rinse).   With a masher, mash potatoes.  Add butter, stir until butter is melted and mixed into potatoes. Add milk a little at a time and stir until you have a nice solid,  but creamy consistency.    Add salt & freshly ground pepper to taste.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  • 8 large or 12 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick) sliced into small pieces
  • milk (approximately 1/2 cup)

Fill large pot with potatoes & water.   Add salt and 1 tablespoon Homemade Nature’s Seasons. Bring to boil and boil until fork tender.  Drain water (do not rinse.   With a masher, mash potatoes and add butter, stir until butter is melted and mixed into potatoes. Add milk a little at a time and stir until you have a nice solid,  but creamy consistency.   Add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder and taste, you may add more if desired.  Add salt & freshly ground pepper to taste.
